

Pravin Saivi has been in the Indian music industry for over 14 years. His father, Late Mr L. Krishnasamy, commonly known as Saivi to many, was a legendary Indian musician/composer in Singapore and had even composed 2 of the Tamil national day songs in the late 80’s. Pravin started performing from the age of 9 at the Victoria concert hall and has never looked back since then. He was the runner up in the national Indian singing competition ‘Thenkural’ in 2002, which was followed by numerous performances on Vasantham Central. He was also nominated in the ‘Best Male Singer’ and ‘Most Popular Male Artiste’ categories 3 times consecutively in the annual ‘Predhana’ Awards ceremony.
Pravin was one of the judges for the national Indian teen singing competition ‘Yaar Antha Star’ (Who’s That Star) in 2007 and 2008. Only 25, Pravin Saivi is one of the youngest performers and entertainers in the industry today. In 2005, Pravin became a part of renowned world music band Tribal Tide and has performed in many music festivals around Singapore. Tribal Tide consists of World Class musicians like legendary percussionists/drummer Mohd Noor and bassist Casey Subramaniam. His debut album, which was released in November 2008 is the first of its kind, being trilingual (In English, Tamil and Hindi).
